Location
Straddling the equator, Uganda sits on a plateau marked by mountains, valleys and lakes. With 60 protected areas, including 10 national parks, Uganda is home to excellent wildlife viewing opportunities, stunning scenery and welcoming locals.
Languages
English and Kiswahili are the official languages of Uganda. Uganda is a multilingual country with over 40 languages spoken, with Luganda being the most geographically spread language.
Climate
Uganda enjoys a tropical climate with most temperature variations determined by elevation and presence of lakes. Rain showers are commonplace, with the dry seasons being December to March and June to August.
